We want to tell you about local community projects and events in Bedford, repeating similar posts that people find helpful.

Recent Community Initiatives:

Since March there has been a new dynamic in Bedford: neighbors pulling together to solve local problems and improve our town. The “Bedford Green Spaces Project” will be a key part of our agenda, and is an exciting set to bring forward this year as we work together across the Borough to renew open spaces in conjunction with establishing new green areas. Volunteers from local organizations already have been out planting trees, installing new park benches and establishing community gardens. How good for our town it not just a beautification project but a community building one.

Spotlight on Local Heroes:

This month its the turn of our very own hometown heroes at Bedford. One of them is Sarah Thompson, an award-winning high school teachers for her innovative teaching method and student-centered approach to success. Sarah has single handedly, changed the lives of her students and well on their way to change the society for good by introducing hands-on learning experiences in a supportive classroom atmosphere.

Upcoming Events:

In the near future, Bedford is filled with positive events that are inspiring and will have you wearing your heart on your sleeve for this great local community. The Annual Bedford Fair is September 15, from 11-7 in the Town Center Park and is filled with local vendors selling all kinds of things as families enjoy live music. It is a great way to celebrate the small businesses around town, and have fun with your friends or family.

Also in the borough, on Oct. 5, is The Bedford Art Festival that will feature local artists and interactive workshops geared for all ages. The whole festival is geared to celebrating and promoting our rich cultural offer in the town, so we invite everyone to take part in that, It promises a snapshot of all the creativity going on throughout Bedford.

Conclusion:

Bedford always is a shining light in terms of community spirit and how it can make the good things happen! While we celebrate what has been recently achieved and look forward to upcoming events, it becomes increasingly clear that the strength of our town is in her people.
